Design, Development, and Maintenance of eLearning and LMS

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Penta Tr@ining 2020: HIV and Other Congenital Infections initiative, led by the Penta Foundation, sought to transform healthcare education globally by developing a multilingual eLearning curriculum on HIV and congenital infections. By breaking language barriers and promoting inclusivity, the project advanced global health equity and empowered healthcare professionals worldwide to better address infectious diseases.

OUR INTERVENTION

ASSIST conducted a learning needs analysis, developed a Moodle-based LMS, and designed multilingual, self-paced, and interactive eLearning courses. The team produced professional voiceovers, on-screen learning elements, and translations in English, Russian, and Spanish. ASSIST continues to provide hosting, maintenance, and support on a yearly retainer, along with updates and new course development.

OUR IMPACT

ASSIST’s work has enabled thousands of healthcare professionals across regions to access quality, multilingual training, strengthening their capacity to diagnose, treat, and manage HIV and congenital infections. The accessible LMS and courses not only bridged knowledge gaps but also fostered global collaboration, advancing equitable healthcare education and contributing to stronger outcomes for children and youth living with infectious diseases.
