UNESCO’s Digital Kids Asia-Pacific (DKAP) project supports member countries in developing evidence-based policies to cultivate youth responsibility and awareness of their digital footprint. Effective communication, education, and engagement were critical to ensure understanding and adoption of digital citizenship practices.
ASSIST developed a 6-month communication plan and a DKAP landing page, designed content including a 1-minute video, project brochure, infographics, and multimedia case studies for each citizenship domain. We also led digital marketing activities, produced a project completion magazine, published an eNewsletter, and executed an email campaign to maximize reach and engagement.
The campaign exceeded all key performance indicators, achieving over 254% completion per metric. Participants reported that the materials were clear, engaging, and informative, strengthening understanding of digital citizenship and enhancing youth engagement across DKAP member countries.
