The NDC Transport Initiative for Asia (NDC-TIA) promotes decarbonization in Asia’s transport sector, which accounts for 23% of global CO₂ emissions. Rapid economic growth in countries like China, India, and Vietnam has increased the need for sustainable mobility solutions, requiring a multilingual communication strategy to share findings, foster dialogue, and encourage action.
ASSIST developed a 12-month communication strategy, created multimedia and IEC materials—including infographics, social media content, PR collaterals, and videos—and translated the Council’s flagship report into multiple Asian languages. We designed a knowledge portal, managed media outreach and op-eds, and ran social media campaigns to maximize reach and engagement across the region.
The portal reached nine countries and facilitated 200 report downloads, while the website saw a 2000% increase in traffic within five months. Videos and op-eds amplified discussions on energy transition, and social media campaigns expanded awareness of low-emission transport and net-zero pathways. These efforts made the Council’s recommendations accessible, strengthened understanding, and encouraged informed action on sustainable transport across Asia.
