Digital Strategies for Development Summit

Sector:T4g
SDGs: Quality Education, Partnerships for the Goals
Country/Region: Asia Pacific

The Need

With the complexities that coincide with increasing technological innovation fusing with various aspects of our way of life, the necessity to fully grasp its implications is necessary to prepare for what the future holds. Held at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters in Manila, a summit was organized as a venue for dialogue and a possible source of partnerships between various thought leaders and expert resource individuals, concerning ways to prepare and adapt to changes within the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Intervention

Partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), and UNESCO, ASSIST provided support to the annual summit by acting as the overall manager of the Forum – being responsible for the conceptualization, design of a program, and event logistics for the summit.

Our Output/Impact

To successfully manage and organize the summit, a program concept was designed and formulated. The task to organize the summit includes coordinating and inviting speakers and resource persons to complement the program as well. To promote participant mobilization and sponsor acquisition, ASSIST provided live updates through on-site interviews and live streaming services. Furthermore, event logistics (e.g. program brochure, invitations, giveaways, and presentations). and on-site conference management (e.g. registration, ushering, documentation) were provided.
