Redesign of RCE Network Website

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Global RCE (Regional Centres of Expertise) Network, managed by UNU-IAS, serves as a hub for advancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) worldwide. To strengthen its role as a resource and knowledge-sharing platform, the network required a modernized and more user-friendly website. The redesign aimed to streamline access to resources, improve usability, and support UNU’s mission of empowering local and global sustainability initiatives.

OUR INTERVENTION

ASSIST reviewed the existing portal, identified content for migration, and developed a new resource website aligned with UNU’s brand and visual identity. The redesign introduced improved navigation, an enhanced search function, and a CMS optimized for non-technical users. ASSIST also coordinated the migration of content, conducted functionality testing, and provided training and user guidelines to ensure UNU personnel could manage and sustain the platform independently.

OUR IMPACT

The new RCE Network website strengthened global collaboration by offering an accessible, visually cohesive, and user-friendly digital space. It enabled seamless content discovery, empowered non-technical administrators to maintain the platform with ease, and enhanced the visibility of ESD initiatives worldwide. By modernizing the network’s digital presence, ASSIST helped UNU-IAS advance its mission of building capacity for sustainable development across regions.
